Bumper dropped almost completely after hitting the concrete stopper in harbor freight's parking lot. Has anyone damaged their bumper by simply parking normally? (heard noise while parking, it fell off while reversing). Some of these concrete stopper bars are too high. (not sure what exactly they are called, the thing in parking lots, generally the bumper goes over it) Minis do seem a bit lower than other cars but it is a stock car and this should not happen.
Anyway, insurance seems to be giving a hard time and says nothing much is broken, In my case the plastic frame on which the bumper is bolted from the sides is broken. Do you know what is this part called? I can't find anywhere in parts diagrams. Also, what will need to be removed to access to this part? I am attaching a screenshot from a youtube video. I am talking about the black plastic part. To me it looks like it is a long single piece that goes through the entire front of the car. The piece circled broke off and it is with the bumper same thing screenshot from youtube video. trying to find the name /part no for the black plastic frame on the right.
