Seat damaged by sun. Help.

I came out to my 17 F56 JCW after being away for about a month and noticed that a part of the passenger seat leather was hard as a rock and that the foam had shrunk significantly. Every other seat in the car is in excellent condition - even the damaged seat looks brand new other than that section. The car is bone dry and there isn't any sign of moisture anywhere. The consensus among those who have seen it seem to think the sun was somehow amplified through a window and essentially cooked the foam and leather. Does anyone know how I can go about getting a new foam pad and new leather cover for this seat? Has anyone dealt with anything like this before? Any suggestions on how to fix this? The seats are Satellite Grey Lounge Leather (package T9GK). Everything I have found online is showing they want $1300 USD for just the foam pad which is insane considering the entire package was only an $1700 option from the factory for all of the seats. Maybe I am not looking in the right places or not seeing the right replacement parts. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There arent any trees or shade at all where it is parked so I'm thinking some kind of magnification freak incident as well. It does seam like the foam base under the leather has shrunk as well - possible meltedu. Would you by chance know the part number for that as well? I saw all of the different options on realoem and wasn't sure which to go with. The passenger seat is heated but has manual adjustments for everything. So I guess the only power functions are the airbag sensor and the heating element. I appreciate all of your help.

so that part number is for the leather cover and the foam base underneath it as well? Sorry for all of the questions. Just trying to make sure I have everything I need before making the order. I appreciate your help!

Somewhat related, are there any guides for reupholstering these seats? I have F56 sport seats for use in another application and I'd like to replace the seat upholstery. Is it just a "figure out where all of the clips are" situation or is there an actual documented process somewhere?

I've gotten some of the plastics removed and a few of the retaining tabs but the plastics and adjusters and such are a bit challenging.

Is it reasonable to separate the top and bottom of the seat for this process?

Any help is very much appreciated!
