Alignment after new wheel bearings?
I've overhauled/refreshed my entire front end/subframe. All new suspension components and aligned (8k mi ago)...Except for the front wheel bearings.
Thinking about replacing my front wheel hub/bearings this Spring.
Nothing abnormal, e.g: noise, play or mechanically wrong with my current (OEM) ones. However, they are 20years old, original to the car w/100k mi on them.
Has anyone found it necessary to have the car aligned after replacing their front wheel hub / bearings?
I suppose I would only know after I've replaced them. I would assume?
But just thought I'd ask ahead of time.
Thanks.

Replacing wheel bearings should not require a realignment. At least, I've never had a realignment done after replacing wheel bearings. I would assume any machining tolerance that would move the wheel around would be miniscule to not put the alignment out.
I agree, no alignment needed. I'll be very curious about your results and if you notice any difference (or change in fuel mileage)
I've been considering doing the same thing for the same reason. one of my wheel bearings is only a few years old, but the other 3 are 21 years and 140k miles old.
