F55/F56 Airbag connector under seat.
Airbag connector under seat.
Failure and solution.
The large yellow connector under the seat has a black lever to assure it is locked in place. However, you can throw and lock this black lever and not have it grab the connector pins correctly. I thought I had locked it correctly and got a bunch of airbag scan code errors. I thought it was a scan tool problem that I couldn’t clear an airbag code but my local shop said it turned out that the connector wasn’t locked in correctly. When done correctly, the lever will throw itself closed as you connect it. I’m thinking that you might test that it is correct if you try to pull it apart when locked and it just comes apart.
