My 2013 hatchback has occasionally shown the cruise control failure warning light. It usually goes away pretty quick and stays gone for a week or more. I have also noticed some revving when I'm at speed (in top gear on the highway, for example) and I step on the gas a little harder. From reading here and elsewhere, it seems like it could be a faulty accelerator sensor, which is an easy fix and I've already ordered the new part.

Just wondering if I guessed what the problem is correctly or if it could be something else and I will have to return a part I don't need.
