Hi all. Is there any way to get Android Auto to work in my new 2024 Mini Cooper Countryman S?

 

Following as interested if known.

Know the newer model will have.

 

That's what they say but for 2025 but 2024 nothing, I wonder if it could be added with an update...

I was hoping someone on here had a hack or knew of a device that could work and that didn't cost $700 or require removing the radio.

 

We are looking at buying a 2022-2024 Countryman All4 to replace our 2004 Cooper S. I'm an Android user and have been concerned about the lack of Android Auto. I'm not too concerned about Android Auto, but I am concerned that I would have no Bluetooth, hands free phone capability. Can someone clarify for me what Bluetooth/hands free provisions the Mini has other than Apple Car Plan?

UPDATE: We did buy a '24 Countryman S All4 and really like it. As I expected, no Android Auto. I did confirm that the Mini has good nav and hands-free phone capabilities on a standalone basis, But to allow my wife to enjoy the benefits of the car, I did move us to iPhones after having Android since 1996. Whatever money has changed hands from Apple to BMW has probably been a good investment given the number of folks "forced" to convert to iPhones. Haven't seen any confirmation of 2025 AndroidAuto capability.
