My partner has decided that my R50 is a bit too small for her and she doesn't like hatchbacks. So we're looking for a Clubman, an F54 Cooper (petrol) probably a 2018 but perhaps a face-lift 2019. We're thinking about having one imported from the USA to Poland but don't know how much work is needed to convert a US-specification F54 for use in the EU. Does anybody have any experience of using a US-spec F54 Cooper in the EU? How much work is needed to pass the road-worthiness test? And, probably more importantly, how big are the differences between the two? I know that for some cars there are only very minor differences between US and EU models but with other cars there are more and bigger differences, which can result in problems getting spare parts.
