Aftermarket radio with HK enabler installed - now Control display is dead

My first post! I have searched the forum and have not found any info. I have a 2013 R57 with HK audio. I bought an HK enabler with a new stereo and mounting kit.

Got it all installed and working except now the control display in the speedometer is dead.

No blown fuses. There was one cable from the stock unit that did not have anywhere to plug it. It has a pink connecter and looks like 4 pins. Can the control display work by itself or do you need the stock radio for the screen to work. I don't need it for audio of course but I can't get to any car settings. Is it possible to get to the car settings via the ODB port?

Tomorrow, weather permitting, I will take the dash apart again and check the connections in the back of the speedometer.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

I think the 4 pin connecter is for the USB port.

Yes I did. After installing the new radio there was no room for it.

I plugged it back in temporally and the screen started working again. It seems that the car stereo runs that screen. Ugh.

I am leaving it out for now. As far as I can tell once you set up the car settings you dont really need it.
