I have a 2017 F54 Clubman S with around 60k miles on it. I am getting the following codes:
P0171
P0440
P0446
P11C4
I did have a rough start this morning but has been starting up fine since. Ive been reading about P0446 and Im going to start by replacing the gas cap and I've got my eye on replacing the Fuel Tank Breather Valve. Does anyone know what P11C4 is?
Any help will be greatly appreciated!!!
Error codes from Torque P11C4, P0171, P0440, P0446
Looks like P11C4 is an intermittent signal from the IAT (Intake Air Temperature) sensor. See if you have any issues with the harness or connection to the sensor. If good there, pull the sensor and see if you can Ohm it out to see if it is reading properly. Main issue with an 'intermittent' fault is that finding it happen when looking for it is pretty rare. If no connector/harness issues are found, then I would likely just replace the sensor, as it may be on its way to full failure. I wonder if the lean error is related to that IAT sensor or possibly an O2 sensor issue.
As for the Evap errors, there may be a leak somewhere in the evap system...which could be related to a leaking gas cap or one of your evap lines. Somewhere on here someone posted a link to a video where one owner found a very hidden leaking hose back in the rear passenger tire well behind a shield. Fix ended up being fairly simple, but finding it was a bit more complex.
Work your way through the issues, one at a time and hopefully you clean up your scans. Good luck and let us know what you find.
The issue was the Fuel tank breather valve. Super easy replacement, cleared the errors and they have not popped again. Also was able to pass inspection. I just wanted to post it here in case someone else runs across this issue.
