Hi everyone. Earlier this week I purchased a new 2023 Mini Copper S Resolute. Fell in love with the color as soon as I saw it.
Plans for the car are window tint, exhaust, coil overs and different wheels. Maybe something in bronze to match the trim
Hi James! I haven't been on NAM in like, forever, but just logged on to see who is here from San Diego. I got to drive a shiny new 2023 Resolute Edition loaner from Vermont to South Carolina on MINI Takes The States last summer. Very nice car, and it's the first MINI I've spent any time with that had an automatic tranny. I was much more impressed with that in Sport mode than I expected, although less impressed with the paddle shifters than I expected (hard to reach in hard turns). Only problem I had was it did not have adjustable lumbar support in the seat, and after several days, I ended up using a rolled-up t-shirt to help my aching back!
Bring it to a San Diego Minis breakfast sometime - I would love to see it! Or one of the monthly San Diego Auto Museum's Cars & Coffee in Balboa Park (January event already canceled because of rain forcast). Attached is a photo of the one I drove at the Tail of the Dragon. What fun!

Thanks, I'm really enjoying it so far. I would have preferred a manual transmission, but when I drove the DCT I was pretty impressed with it so I gave it a chance. We'll see how that plays out.
I'm familiar with the San Diego auto museum cars in coffee, although I haven't been. It can be hard for me to get going in the morning. I typically go to the Rancho Santa Fe C&C as it's not that far from me.
Do you have a website, Facebook group, instagram or whatever for the San Diego Minis? I've been looking around online for groups but it seems they're all no longer active, at least from what I could tell.
James, San Diego Minis has an active Facebook page - search for San Diego Minis. The web page at sdminis.com contains an Events-Calendar section with a list of upcoming events (I have taken that over and am updating it regularly). Next event is the February 5 breakfast meeting at the Corner Bakery in Mission Valley. March 4 is an all-day run through the back country, ending up in Borrego Springs for (hopefully) a viewing of the spring flowers.
If you make it to one of our events, I'll take a picture of your Resolute Edition and add it to our website's Gallery section!
Found the group. I think I came across it in the past but thought it was for the original older Minis. I joined the group.
I'll see if I can make it to one of the events
