Hello all, I am new to the site and hoping I can get some good feedback from the members.
I recently replaced the shift solenoids on my 05 R53 due to hard shifting. Now the shifting is great, BUT...... Now I am having a new problem. When getting on the gas, I now have a slipping and or shift flaring. Under normal throttle the transmission is great. But if I need to get on it. It slips/flares. I was told that is because of the new fluid, the friction material that was in the transmission that was "Holding it together" is now gone. I used Mobile 1 synthetic trans fluid when refilling the trans and made sure it was refilled to the proper level using the temp sensor after the solenoids were replaced.
I believe the trans is the Aisin model, I was told it could be the band between the cones in the transmission that is slipping due to the new fluid and lack of fiction material. But you tell me. Any help will be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
