Hey guys first post in here! I’m looking to buy a thicker winter tire (215/55/16) for my current 195/55/16 run flats. My wheel specs are 16x6.5 OEM. My car is also lowered 1.3 in inches. Will I rub or have any issues? Will they fit? I don’t know much about tires. According to tire rack it says they’ll fit. But I wanna confirm with the mini owners. Has anyone has used used ay 205-225 on 16x6.5 wheels?

 

205/55-16 might be the better choice. For snow driving you want a skinnier tire. A wider tire will actually float on the snow and reduce traction.

 

If you're going to go that wide, go with 215/50/16 so the overall diameter is close to what you have now.
