Hello all!
I am looking to bid farewell to my first Mini. It has served me very well but I am upgrading to a new Cooper SE.
Here are the details:
2011 Mini Clubman JCW
Midnight Black with Red top and mirrors
Black lounge leather interior with red piping and trim
Piano black interior surface
HID headlights
Current mileage is around 95k. All maintenance is up to date with 5k oil changes with full synthetic since I bought it.
I purchased him bone stock from Jason Mateas to NW Euro back in 2019. I have since enjoyed it tons. Here are the small tweaks I have put into it:
Had a full paint correction and ceramic coating applied to the paint. Still beads water like a dream!
Replaced the wheels with Mazda MX-5 wheels wrapped in Bridgestone AS3+ rubber. These required 8mm spacers to clear the JCW brakes.
Replaced the shift **** and boot with one from an F56 JCW as it looks cool.
Obtained and installed a complete OEM compact spare tire plus tools and installed in the trunk where it belongs (hidden under the floor). This requires a spacer to fit and can only be used on the rear axle. That means if you get a flat in the front you have to install it on the rear and move a rear wheel to the front but it was worth it to ditch the run flats.
Upgraded the H/K sound system with the full Integral Audio system including the Phantom Sub. This system is incredible and will probably be one of the things I miss most.
Installed a GTT vacuum circuit oil catch can (runs from the valve cover to the intake manifold). This should help ward off the dreaded intake valve deposits.
Installed the Andream MMI which enables full wireless Apple CarPlay as well as Android Auto
(Wired). This intercepts the video feed to the OEM nav screen to allow the functionality. Love having Apple CarPlay in the car!
While I was at it I also retrofit the OEM alarm and the auto dim mirror with universal garage door remote. Also all lights (except headlights) have been upgraded to LED. No error codes as they were canbus compatible.
Hardwired Thinkware F770 dash cam on the front windshield.
I also have the OEM roof racks and OEM Mini road bike holders I will include as they will not be usable on the SE.
Let me know if you are interested.
Thanks all!!
Edit: I should probably add that all the usual maintenance items had already been addressed when I bought it.
- Timing chain and tensioner replaced, no rattles heard by me ever
- Turbo oil lines replaced
- Walnut blast done at ~60k
