Drivetrain Manual swap with donor car?
Manual swap with donor car?
Hi all, first post so hopefully I'm doing this right. Long story short, I bought a 2011 Cooper S from an auction, said it was supposed to start but the timing chain is snapped clean in half.
I'm thinking of buying another auction car certified to run and drive with low miles, and all cosmetic damage (rollover, rear end, etc)
My 2011 S has an automatic, so if my parts car happens to be a manual, how easy is it to swap?
Assuming I could just swap the computer, trans, shifter, keys/steering wheel (no paddle shifters)...?
Is this impossible to do? I'm used to the old stuff lol
Thank you!
