Where's our tach signal wire or sorce from for shift light

I finally got my other type shift light I'd like to install.
in the directions they get a tach signal AND power source from behind a tachometer by tapping into those wires.
I'd rather tap into a tach signal out of the obd2 port if possible and power it off of it own seperate source. But I need to know where I run the shift light signal wire to .
it has low and high gain adjustments encase the signal is weak , like if i need to get the signal off of the coilpack , if thats even possible. I have NO CLUE where to get tach signal , can anyone help PLEASE ? like , where do the jcw shift lights get their signal source from ? I should be able to use that id think..
any and ALL info you have would be a huge help !
I know a few of you guys have a jcw shift light installed still , could you please just see where the signal wire runs to for me please ???
here's the shift light I'd purchased ( my 2nd one ) I have a Bluetooth one but can't run that in conjunction with my multigauge and my multigauge I'd far more important than a shift light ( although the Bluetooth one is much higher quality)..

Pin #9 on the OBD socket is the engine speed signal. It should be a red/white wire.
