CravenSpeed Phone Mount upgrade with a magsafe holder

I purchased CravenSpeed Gemini magnetic phone mount for Mini Cooper R56. https://www.cravenspeed.com/products...86#description However it was just not holding my iPhone 13 pro firmly in place. The hold was not a strong for a larger heavier phone. Especially during spirited driving or bumps in the road.

If I added the magnetic plating that comes with the mount, then charging my phone via magsafe becomes a chore. As I would have to take the case off each time. Or go back to cord charging. To solve both of these issues I tweaked my Anker Magnetic Phone Grip (MagGo), 610 Magnetic Phone Ring Holder that I got for Christmas. https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B09B3DHB...6WB7CNYMZNYW5S

All it took was a bench grinder and a M6 10mm bolt. I took apart the craven magnetic plate and ground off 4mm of the metal plate and installed the Anker magnetic ring between. I hope this is helpful. It is a super strong hold now, no issues. It should just be a standard feature.

Here is a short video of the modification.

How looks in the car. I do plan to add the black Anker magnetic ring and then trim the CravenSpeed rubber cover the metal piece.

Just wanted to point out that, I already had all of these items and did not want to purchase additional items. If I didn't have the Anker magnetic ring I would have just bought something like this
Amazon Amazon
and swapped it out by removing the joint ball from this vent holder and pushing into the CravenSpeed joint ball housing. it appears they are both 17 mm.

What an interesting project @uniqbboy ! Though we do have a MagSafe magnet for the Gemini now!

Check it out; https://www.cravenspeed.com/gemini-m...se-for-magsafe

Won't interfere with wireless charging, and comes with an adhesive metal ring for non-MagSafe devices. I have one on the back of my case on my Pixel 6 and works very well, even for wireless charging.

As always if anyone has questions, feel free to reply or pm!
