Hi everyone. I've read that the chip shortage has led to delays in people getting their minis to some minis not having the HK audio system. I was under the impression that the driving assistance pack has adaptive cruise control right? I picked up my 2022 clubman and I'm sure I ticked that option, but all I have is regular cruise control. It also doesn't seem like my mirror auto-dims even though I ticked the premium option. Which I guess is kinda hilarious because I got the park distance radar sensors and also the auto parking assistant option.

The chip shortage definitely affected my car buying experience and it doesn't seem like the website build configurator is very clear on what's going to be missing. I just went on the mini website to build my exact same clubman and noticed the park assistant option isn't even on the build configurator anymore.

I kind of wonder if I can just get a steering wheel with the adaptive cruise control buttons and change out my existing wheel with that one ?

 

I doubt getting a different steering wheel would "enable" the adaptive CC on your car. If there's a chip missing that's the reason it won't matter. Sorry to say you'll either have to return the car and order the correct one or live with the one you have.

 

You should have been told you were not receiving the adaptive cruise, and should have received a discount, though probably token. My 22 was discounted $550 for no HK. I did get the cruise.

 

Yes I wasn’t told anything, and when the tech guy was showing me the car and the functions, I thought it was hidden somewhere in the infotainment screen. I didn’t know there were actual buttons on the steering wheel to control it. I mean, it has a camera behind the rear view mirror. Oddly enough I got the Hk audio. I wonder what else it’s missing.
