Break-in instructions/suggestions for new MINI

I’m picking up my new MINI on Saturday and I am curious if anyone has any instructions/suggestions regarding breaking in a new MINI. I know that in the past, on brand new cars, there have been instructions regarding varying the speed (not exclusively highway or city) for a certain amount of miles. Plus breaking in the new brakes.
Does anyone have any instructions/suggestions that they can share with me?
Many thanks!

These newer engines don’t really need a religious break in procedure. My opinion is to not beat on it for the first 500 miles or so to let the clutch and breaks wear in, then perform an oil change and start increasing the load to the engine a little bit more with each 100 miles on your way to 1000 miles, Then perform another oil change, and motor on!

The only thing I might alter for maintenance as you enjoy your Mini is the oil change schedule. General consensus seems to be NOT to follow the on board maintenance monitor. With these newer engines and oil technology, you could possibly do just fine with 7500 mile oil changes.

Follow what is printed in your operating manual. That information is far more accurate and safer to follow than opinionized guessing. I followed the break in procedures to the letter and sofar sixteen years later, nothing but smiles with only three unscheduled visits for minor maintenance. If you operate your MINI like you would an airplane, you and your wallet won’t regret it.

Don't know which model you bought, but here's an excerpt from the Countryman manual. I assume they're all the same.
