I don't have them but I've seen tail lights like those on a few Mini's around town. I didn't notice whether or not the turn indicator was amber instead of red. Are those tail lights not stock?

I think they look OK, but not stupid.

 

Stupid is referring to the US/all red Union Jack taillights, which when flashing, end up displaying an arrow pointing in the opposite direction of the turn. After seeing the video, I wonder how they were ever approved by the DOT or NHTSA.

The above pic is supposed to be the Euro version which is non directional and eliminates the problem.

 

Looks like it's only on the countryman that it does that. The US hardtops only have the horizontal and vertical bar blink together. We don't have the separate turn signal and brake bars.

The 8.25 is a heavyweight. I've never seen an LSD application for it, though. The Dana 35 was added in the back of XJs equipped with an LSD. In my 8.25, my switchable OX locker performs beautifully.

At least they are not in the bumper al the way at the bottom where you cant see them like on some KIAs.

Saw one the other day and most SUVs or jacked up trucks would never see the turn signal.
