Just purchased my first Mini! I’m excited to get it going but it needs some work. The most recent problem I’m having is getting the headlights to function. It came with aftermarket headlights and I’m unable to tell if they were upgraded correctly. Is there a way to know if the original headlights were HID or Halogen assemblies?

 

there's a VIN decoder here https://bimmer.work - that will indicate what headlights it originally had -- they're VERY simple to replace btw, as long as they didn't cut into the original harness.
