Can anyone definitively tell me whether the R86 wheels will just bolt up to an R56? I know the R86 wheels are for a first gen with 12 mm lugs and the R56 has 14 mm lugs. I did a search and found conflicting information. Someone said I would need to buy adapters M12 to M14 adapters. Someone else said they aren't necessary. Also, will tpms sensors fit in the older wheels that weren't designed for them?

 

I have a set of 16” R84 wheels that I used for snow tires on my Clubman. I had no issue using the 14mm lug bolts or the TPMS sensors.
