Will traction control engagement , overload the clutch?
Will traction control engagement , overload the clutch?
Replaced my clutch at 65K on a 2009 JCW. The flywheel and flex plate metal friction surfaces were cracked and had evidence of extreme heat. The clutch was slipping at high loads and high boost towards the end so I kept out of it. I was wondering the traction control engaging all the time would fry the clutch? ( yes I do know how to drive/use the clutch
Traction control also reduces engine power when it engages so it shouldn't put any additional load on the drivetrain or clutch.
Are you the original owner of the car? Could it be the previous owner that gave the clutch a good workout before you got it?

I have had it for long time and put most of the miles on it myself, so its me or the tuner or the traction control, I will disengage it when things might get fun. But most of the time I do not.
