So I've been away from minis for a couple years, last owning a 2013 R56. I miss it.
Since covid, my driving habits and requirements have changed a lot as I'm now working remotely and only putting on ~5k miles a year. I also had my first kid, so most of my trips are 5-10 miles to the store or daycare.
Looking to add a little fun back into my limited driving, and thought an r55 would tick some boxes.

Price on this one feels low, given it's a JCW, but who knows. CARFAX shows a long dealership history which is at least comforting.

Thoughts?
I'd need to ship it to me, but have a good indy nearby to check it out post delivery.

Anyone in MD want to go test drive it for me a report back?

 

Arrange for a PPI in the sellers locations. Takes some coordination on your part but can be done.

 

I'd no more buy a 100,000 mile- MINI site-unseen than I'd fly to the moon!

Be ready for:
Timing chain
Water pump
Valve-carbon build up
Clutch

You've got enough on your hands with your first child.....

 

I wouldn’t do it sight unseen, but i would if I checked it out in person. Before you give me a crap my 09 n14 has close to 162,000 on her.
