Does anyone know if you can once again get a manual transmission on a JCW Convertible?

Two people have told me that you could but I cannot seem to configure.....will call the dealer later in the week but thought I'd ask here first.

prompted me to play with the 'builder' which I'd not for a while ....

seems you can build an S with manual, but not a JCW ......

back in 19, daughter wanted a 'vert with manual but did not want to order ... we did a computer search and finally found one she liked but manual was hard to find in general ..... folks just don't want 'em much.

When I was selling my Focus ST a couple of dealer / carvana type places lowered # below a typical FOCUS hatch because it had a manual. Fact the ST was never available with an auto was of no import to them . . .

 

Seems to me that the profile of the JCW buyer would be more included to want a manual than an S buyer. Very curious to know MINI's logic on this.

I guess I'll have to keep searching for a used one. :(

 

I think it might be their interpretation of the profile of a JCW convertible buyer.

Though, these exact same marketing people also think that no MINI buyer owns an Android phone.
