Hi all, new Mini owner here (‘21 Cooper S 2 door). Love the car so far. I’ve had the car since late last year and it’s possible I didn’t notice this until today, but the driver’s side window does not fully recede. The passenger side oddly does.
Attaching a picture of what I’m talking about. Anyone know if this is “normal”?
I should mention that the auto up/down works fine as does the window moving when opening or closing the door.
This is how they all are. If you press the window button one more time, it will retract completely. There is nothing wrong with the car.
While I agree it’s normal, in a sense, and that there’s nothing wrong, they definitely don’t all do that. I have the opposite experience in my car, from the OP. My passenger’s side window always sticks up just a hair, but my driver’s side window always fully disappears into the door.

Interesting, thank you both! I suppose it's 'normal enough'. I did try to make it go lower by fully pressing the button (auto down) which resulted in it going fully inside the door (no longer visible) for a moment, then coming back up. I'll have to try it without the auto down function to see if that works instead.
