I have a landsailer that uses 145R10 tires and the price of new tires is staggering. This thing does not wear out tires because it is very light and it does not travel very many miles/year. The tires just get hard and slippery from age. I want to buy two young, worn tires for a low price. I figure there are a few people racing classic Minis and they will wear their tires quickly and they will want to replace them when they get worn. They usually have to pay to get rid of them but I am willing to pay for them (but not a lot). Generally, the younger the tires are, the better.

 

This is a really interesting idea.

I would suggest you look to see if there are any shops where you live that specialize in classic British cars (or anything that might run a 10 inch tire), might be able to make a connection if a specialty shop has some used tires laying around.
