Not at all happy about the weather today -40 (take your choice...F or C, both the same) but very, very happy that the JCW started and is running well. Installed an oil pan heater last winter, plugged it in for two hours, and started no problem. The gauges weren’t too happy at first but fine when it warmed a bit. Shocks a bit stiff, tires a bit square, but to be expected, settled to a regular idle speed, everything else working well, even the interior fan which had caused problems in the past (losing the upper fan speeds) but has been mostly fixed with a fresh battery.
A good day. I have ordered a lower engine cover which should help even more keeping some heat in the engine compartment when plugged in, and still toying with the idea of a lower rad hose heater. Will see how the engine cover works...
Note: -40 is actual temp...-48 with the wind chill....brrrr
-40 F or C, actually might be colder, gauge bottoms out at -40!
