R50/53 MINI Parts to Canada
MINI Parts to Canada
Hi everyone
Just wanted to see how everyone is making out with regards to getting parts for their MINI's ..especially my fellow Canadians.
For us in Canada (I'm on the West Coast), it seems harder and harder to source parts through good suppliers . Especially aftermarket parts.
I know for our US friends there are a lot more options than for us. I know some vendors say they ship internationally, but often they won't and man it sure becomes cost prohibitive....Of course COVID hasn't helped things!
There are suppliers such as Amazon, Pelican parts, Rock Auto etc.that ship to Canada, but they often don't carry everything.
I've been waiting since early August to get a Quaife Diff for my 05 JCW and its been a nightmare with and a ton of runaround from both Manufacturer and Authorized Dealer (didn't have problem taking my money...just with sending parts)
I know we now live in times that can bring with them challenges to supply chains & shipping, but sometimes its so frustrating.
Is it just my isolated experience or is anyone else finding it increasingly difficult even outside COVID restrictions?
On a positive note, I still love owning my R53 JCW and won't be giving up on it anytime soon.
All the best everyone

Hi there! Jealous you get to live on that beautiful island.
I’m in Calgary and have ordered quite a few things lately - from outmotoring. Outside a few misunderstandings that were mostly my own fault, I’ve had great service (you have to pay duty on delivery of course)
I’ve also been been able to stock a lot of the stock mini parts via my mechanic at just over wholesale pricing. Parts availability seems excellent here in Calgary.
