need help removing intake does anyone have steps and diagram by chance or a video for the r55. I can find others but they just a lttle bit different looking.

 

When I was doing my thermostat housing I found a couple of videos that talked to removing the intake to get to all of the pipes. I found one that showed how to get the thermostat housing in without removing the intake so I did it that way. They're on Youtube, you might want to search for that topic.

 

Taking off the intake manifold is relatively easy. Start by detaching the boost tube or at least loosening it from the throttle body. Unclip the sensor on top the manifold. Assuming the rest of your intake is off, take off the 5 13mm bolts holding on the intake manifold and throttle body. Detach the pcv hoses from the valve cover and the other from the right side of the manifold. Try to move the manifold from its studs ( some have a bolt behind the throttle body holding the manifold to the block). If your manifold doesn't move and is stuck on a lower mounting bolt using a t30 remove the 3 throttle body screws, then remove the white clip holding the throttle body to the manifold. Then unclip the throttle body wire harness and remove it. Then the lower mounting screw holding the manifold to the block should be accessible(10mm) remove that and gently move the manifold. Detach both the rubber mounts from underneath the manifold holding on the pcv valve and the boost pressure converter. The manifold should come out easily afterwards.
