i just noticed a big empty hole on my hood,

looking for a cheap first gen Mini hood scoop
silver preferred but any color is okay too but with at least 3 tabs still intact.

 

I have a dark silver scoop. Pm me.

 

I epoxied some short 3/8" nylon spacers (like a really thick plastic washer) that I threaded some threaded rod into onto the back of my old scoop. I marked where the center needed to be (rod location) from the back side with a sharpie, abraded one side good with 80 grit paper (epoxy won't stick well to smooth, unabraded nylon. Then used slow setting epoxy to glue the spacers/rod to the rear of the scoop. Have to be pretty exact, but the spacers were 88 cents at home dumpster and the rod was pretty cheap too. A washer and nut finish each one off. The key is slow setting epoxy (the slower the set, the stronger it is) and really abrading the nylon and doing the same for the locations where they will be bonded on the rear of the scoop.
