2010 JCW factory radio upgrade

Curious for feedback on what my next step should be. Have (2) 2010 Minis. Currently trying to upgrade the factory radio in the JCW.

JCW has silver radio with Sirus enabled and works. But the radio display is dying.

Decided instead to upgrade radio and tach face plate to black units.....and also upgrade radio to later style black controls.

So basically trying to install 2011-2012 radio in a 2010.....having a couple of bugs.

*2010 has the SAT radio box under passenger seat. 2011 radio has SAT built in.

*2010 has MOST on the back of radio. 2011 radio does not have MOST....Radio plug fits fine....but there are no optics on the radio side....just plastic.

*Currently have SAT box under passenger seat unplugged. Both the MOST and SAT antenna are 'unplugged'.

On bench.....2011 radio powers up.....shows 'SAT' as a option on menu. With extra sat antenna plugged in radio shows 'preview' channel etc.

Take radio to car.....plug in. SAT will work.....until...you actually start the car....then get 'Sirus Error' and the option disappears from menu.

When 2011 radio is in car and car powered up....the 'SAT' is no longer on the option menu. USB and AUX do display on menu....but do not seem to be working.

2011 radio seems to work fine. FM works...CD works....steering wheel controls work....gas gauge works....vehicle data works.

What does not work......No 'SAT' option......No USB......No AUX.

Any ideas or hacking would be welcomed. Thanks. Last picture shows 'SAT' option displaying on 2011 radio on bench.
