Shifter cables - are they adjustable?

Am rebuilding a 2002 R53 and I have the exhaust out. Are there any shift cable adjustments to check/make while I have access under the shifter?

If would be good to know that I did what ever was possible for better shifting or to know that nothing is possible and I can stop thinking aobut it.

No there not , you have to replace the whole cable if anything breaks

They aren't adjustable, but if you have the exhaust out it's the time to install a short shifter as you have half the work done.
