Hi all!

I have an issue with the R52 roof (haven't we all!), in that the sunroof works fine, but on the second stage the windows come down, the latches unlock and that's about it! The car then needs to be turned off, on and then the roof will retract using the panel closure control.

So after reading on NAM for many hours and a Bentley Service Manual, I dug into the panels and have completed with the following work, but the issue continues to occur. Oddly though had it working all fine for five minutes, but I turned the car off and it started with the issue again!

• Removed the microswitches in the rear, and found a past owner had cut them and soldered them to close the circuit. This is not a good idea, so I replaced both microswitches and re-fitted them.
• Removed the boot sensor and replaced that
• Removed the 40amp high voltage fuse and replaced that with a new fuse
• Removed the sunroof motor and replaced that too, with a fully working unit

I have also tried to reset the system numerous times, by putting the key in the 'ON' position (not started) and then retract all the windows using the convertible panel and then close them on the panel. The windows work OK, although I have noticed that the drivers window is slow and seems to labour going up, which maybe is something to fix next.

Anyway, I wondered if anyone had this seen this before? I can only think it's a malfunctioning sensor or a wiring issue but I am just considering where to go next - as the cables seem OK and I have seen it work - just for five minutes! Any help is much appreciated!
