Sprint Booster: Need Help!

I'm not great at wrenching my own cars mind you, but I'm feeling especially like an idiot here.
Is there a trick to releasing the electrical clip from the gas pedal, in order to insert the Sprint Booster cord in series? Either there's a trick, or it's stuck in there way too tight, or I'm a compete weakling.
Please advise!

i used a small screwdriver that you typically see to fix eyeglasses.
SB help the Countryman feel less squishy.

On one side only? With your finger on the other? One of the sides has very limited access, as it's shielded by a flange between it and the back of the pedal, so it would be pretty difficult to get a screwdriver on that tab.
