Wheel Adapters and Spare Tires

Good Morning Folks,

First time poster, new R60 Owner, and long time car enthusiast.

I've been reading a lot about the spare tire kits that some people were able to cobble together using TDN Dubnutz Adapter Kit, and the Spare Tire from a Mercedes C230 Space Master Spare. Seems like the problem this day is that the TDN Dubnutz Adapter Kit is no longer in production. Was there something special about this specific adapter, like offset? It seems that there are plenty of adapters that go from the 5x120 Mini/BMW hub to the 5x112 bolt pattern on the Space Master. Locating a Space Master does not seem to be difficult, but before I pull any triggers I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something.

Happy Motoring.

Have you looked in the "Countryman Wheels Tires & Brakes" section?
For example;

Thanks for the link. It appears the TDN's had a certain thickness, which after reading through the whole post, you would want somewhere near ~1.5" to clear the brake and what not for the spare. 1" is certainly too small it would seem. I found some adapters that are 1.25" and will attempt those with the Space Master Spare to see if works.

Again thanks for the heads up.

Are you stock brakes or JCW? On the link there is a comment that 1" (or 25mm) was not quite enough, so maybe 1.25" is enough? If not there are 1.5" (38mm) and even thicker. Check out Adapt-It USA, Wheel Adapter USA, USadapters.com and more. These are all bolt centric, only found one so far that was hub centric at Venumwheel.com.

Good hunting. I am looking for the same (just found an unused BMW Space Master) so will be interested how you make out. I have JCW...not sure if 1.25" will work, or maybe I should just go for 1.5" or ??
