I have a silver 2007 Cooper S for sale in Chicago. The body has a few small door dings, but no rust. The interior (heated leather seats) is in good condition.

The good:

Clutch and timing gear replaced fairly recently, within 15k miles max
Tires are good
New drivers side halfshaft
New Brembo rotors and pads up front

The bad:

Gearbox end motor mount bracket broke. Two bolts broke with it and one is still in place. I could not get it out.
The above issue knocked the CV boot strap loose. The CV has fewer than 50 miles, but should be pulled apart and cleaned, at the very least.
Rear brakes need to be replaced. Two weeks of PB Blaster and the locating screws are still in place. The screws are not stripped, but will need heat.
As of half an hour ago, while driving it to try to knock some rust off of those new Brembo rotors, I got a power steering warning light. The power steering went out for a couple of short periods before coming back.

Every time I drive the car, I think I want to keep it, but something happens to remind me that it needs to go.

It comes with new, cheap, rotors and pads for the rear and an OBD to USB cord so you can plug a laptop into the OBD port for codes, etc. Oh, and a Haynes book of lies.

It can be test driven until 12/31 when the rego runs out. It could (probably!) be driven home in the Chicago area. Otherwise, a trailer would be best.

All in all, it's not that bad, but I am absolutely fed up with it. I'm asking $2500. Send me a PM if you're interested.
