I need to repaint the slats on the upper grill. I have seen threads on how to remove them from the chrome part, but can't seem to find now. Doesn't look hard, but I don't want to break any plastic. Thanks in advance.

 

You remove the actual grill which is attached by a few nuts on the inside of the hood....then from there you just unclip all the little clips holding the surround and slats on there....the slats are actually all one piece.
