I just bought a 2015 base Mini F56 from a Mini dealership. (Love the car, btw!) It has the Fully Loaded option, so it has the factory navigation. When negotiating the deal, part of it was to update the map software to the latest version and they agreed. I picked up the car this past Saturday, and they gave me the service receipt showing that the update was done.
Yesterday, however, I pressed the Options button with the Nav map displayed, and there was a Map Software Version at the bottom of the menu. Pressed that, and the version shows 2015? I'm not sure how the versioning works, but seems it should show 2019. Can anyone tell me what the latest version should be so I can go back to them and ask why mine isn't updated?
Thanks for the info. The post above says current version is Road Map North America NEXT 2019-1, but the link shows 2020-1... so I guess the latest official version is 2020?
I shared the picture with the dealership and they agreed their update didn't work. They set me up with an appointment and loaner car so they can update it. We'll see what version I end up with. Either way it's free to me, so doesn't seem any point in me downloading torrent files and trying to do it myself.
