Hello all, I just picked up my first and new to me R53. I picked this up from my father who no longer had a use for it. It has 103k miles and is completely stock. I have a long commute (70 miles round trip) and intend to use this as a daily driver or commuter car. It gets better mileage than the high mile Mazda 3 that its replacing.

Over the last 5 years I've been bitten hard by the track day DE bug. I track a C5 Z06 that is street legal but 95% used on track. I plan to set the Mini up for mild track duty. This way if the C5 is being repaired or if I want to focus on instructing, I can use that mini for that event. Or if I want to go to a track that many would call a momentum track, it becomes an option.

My father was pretty good with keeping up on oil changes, however I suspect it needs freshening and flushing of all the fluids. I'm sure I will have many questions for you and thank you in advance. Looking forward to learning this new car and community!
