Looking for a different noise

Probably a stupid question........but.........

Can the turbo diverter valve be removed and a blanking plate installed?
What I'm after is the flutter noise....

As an alternative can the spring be switched up for a much much stiffer item to allow fluttering?

Thanks in advance
Rick

The waste gate rattle at cold start is annoying and getting worse with time on N18 engines. I always have the feeling the complete engine is falling apart. According to Mini, this is not considered an issue unless a turbo failure.

In this event, there is an extended warranty of 7Y/120K.
