If you've taken the head off your block you'll need to do two things. One is to get a fresh head gasket, and the other is to get fresh head bolts (or in this case, a set of wicked awesome ARP Head Studs). When properly torqued, head bolts will generally stretch which makes them inconsistent. If not replaced, you will find it challenging to get proper and safe torque settings. ARP head studs are much stronger than traditional head bolts and can withstand more stress and pressure. If you're building up a performance head for a high HP MINI, these are what you need
