Hey, after waiting for 5-6 weeks, my AWE Track Catback is en-route But was trying to search forum and see what I should expect to pay to have it installed? I called my MINI dealer and was quoted 2.5 hrs labor at approx. $340. is this to be expected or should I call around to local exhaust shops?

You should call AWE and ask them what it should cost. Probably a simple install, call the locals.

 

Do it yourself. exhaust swaps are easy. Just get the car up and follow the pipes and hangers.

 

I installed my AWE in about 45 mins in an apartment parking lot with just a jack, jack stands, metric socket set, pliers and a spray lubrication.

 

I guess I can't use living at an apartment as an excuse.

 

Nope! When I lived in an apartment, I did all my stuff at night when the management was gone.

Seriously though, its an easy mod you can do yourself

 

Word, Craftsman 3 pc. Floor Jack Set is around $120, I'll check out some repair shops near downtown on my lunch walk break. If someone can do it around $150 then I can save my near 7' frame from being in awkward positions for an hour. Thanks.
