Injector Cleanings and inspection???

Is it a bad idea to pull the injectors and clean them up with a brush and gas or carb. cleaner????

I have 48,000 miles now and am thinking about doing it.

If you are running a name-brand quality gasoline I would say that any additional cleaning would be unecessary. I run Chevron in all of my cars and have never had to clean the fuel system.

Yep, Chevron. If you haven't been using quality gas you can try Redlines SI-1 Fuel Injector cleaner. I used it on a poorly running Honda once with great success. There's enough in one bottle to "shock" the system once and follow up on a few more tanks at a normal dose. Beyond that, I would send them to RC Engineering or someone that can test, clean, and balance your injectors properly. I've never had this service done but would be interested to hear from anyone that has. ?
