Kosei K1 TS 15x7 et38 Fitment on '03 MCS?

I'm thinking of getting:

Kosei K1 TS 15x7 et38 10.6 lbs

with:

Bridgestone S-03 195/50-15 21 lb

for a total of 31.7 lb. Tire Rack currently has a seemingly smokin' deal of $954 shipped for this package.

Can anyone confirm that those rims fit the MINI without needing spacers? I have heard reports of interference between Kosei 15"s and the lower ball joints of MINI front suspension. Before pulling the trigger, I want make sure this will fit.

I think it will fit the lower ball joints. Is your MINI lowered?

Did you get a chance to talk to Alex@tirerack.com, he can confirm that it fits or not or maybe needs spacers? Give alex a call.

I recently got the same rims in the same size with 205/50-15 R-compound tires and there are no fitment issues. (I've got H-sport springs on an MCS).
I was going to put them on and scrub them in today or tomorrow but it's been raining every day so I've been waiting. Autocross on sunday so I'll know very soon.

Minihune,

If yours bolted on with no problems, that's good enough for me!

Do they feel super light, just lugging them around the garage?

OK fine on MC

I have an MC with 15x7 Kosei K1, and mounted 195-60-15 Yoko AVS,
and had no fitting problems.

Keep in mind your @ 22.7 OD - and rubbing is most likely on the ground.

On 15x7" rims you're better off with 205/55-15 tyres for street use......

I have those wheels with Kumho victoracers and they fit just fine. Pick one up after the stock setup and it feels a ton lighter.

No rubbing at all. My question is: Will 225's give me better performance when autocrossing? The guy that beat me in street mod insists they will.
