Convertible top hydraulic pump valve

Hi! I’m in the final stages of repairing the top (replaced rear quarter panel window regulator and left latch) and have a question about the ****-off valve for the pump. I jumped the gun and unscrewed it without counting 1.5 turns. Is the screw supposed to be fully tightened?

TIA!

be careful, I stripped mine by tightening it too much.....should be screwed all the way in by turning it to the right.....just be careful and do not use much force

I did replaced both quarter window motor on mines and it didn’t make any difference buttering with that release screw, the convertible it goes down slowly. as the same as if I didn’t unscrew it 1.5 times.

From my understanding, you unscrew the little hex screw 1.5 times if you have an issue with your top not working and you have to put it up manually with a helper. The opening of the screw provides the fluid to transfer to the other reservoir in the pump slowly wnem moving the top into position without the top motor running
