Hi

Recently had to replace my turbo as the other one cracked the housing. With the new turbo In 4th 5th and 6th gear at about 6k revs my car constantly boost cuts. The psi it cuts at is usually different but its always at about 6k revs. I've had it cut at 18psi, 22psi and so on. After its boost cut for a period of time it goes into limp mode and only boost to about 5psi but does eventually start working again. Everytime after it does it, it brings up 2 engine codes P115A and P2B59. Any idea on what could be causing this? cheers

Have you checked the diverter valve and hoses connected to the turbo?

Looks like both codes point to the MAF.

 

Checked all the hoses and found nothing. I've also ordered a gfb dv+ to see if that helps in anyway. Also changed the MAF sensor thinking it was just that playing up but it still continued with the new one.

 

Is the turbo still in good working condition?

Do you have another diagnostic hardware/software you can use?

As I found the torque pro app not very good for proper diagnostic.

 

The turbo is fine as I only replaced it in November. Could it be something to do with the wastegate being setup wrong?

I could try another obd2 app as I don't have any gauges to use.

 

Is the turbo like for like replacement or is it uprated and is it tuned?

Those sort of boost levels are seen on tuned cars.

 

Standard turbo but remapped. Making 260bhp at 1.3bar. It always creeps over and sometimes cuts on just 18psi which is about 1.3bar.
