2014 r58 p304

Good evening Ladies and Gentlemen,

I am looking for recommendations because I am currently at a loss due to my lack of knowledge when it comes to wiring and current.

Situation:
Misfire in cylinder 4. No spark is being produced.

Actions taken so far:
1. Replaced spark plugs all around, still no spark.
2. Swapped coil pack #4 and #3 around. Still no spark in cylinder #4. Cylinder #3 produced spark before and after the swap.
3. Pulled out connections to coil (3 female ends, see attached photo) and tested both #3 and #4 female ends using a voltameter. Noticed that the bottom left female end on #4 connector did not produce current, whereas #3 bottom left female end did.

What started this problem:
I did a WOT (did not redline) and the car went into limp mode and check engine light came on, thus the beginning of my issues with cylinder #4. So far I have researched a lot on google to see what the issue could be. A lot of the issues I noticed were that there is a lot of carbon buildup that could produce a misfire due to the valve not seating correctly.

The car has 60,600 miles.

Any help is appreciated. My next step is to buy a compression kit from Harbor Freight.

Check newtis.info for wiring diagrams then check for continuity. You could also try to reseat the ECU plugs and check pins condition. Lastly, this N18 doesnt have carbon build up like N14 does.

Did you try to clear the code and/or disconnect the battery?

I have cleared the codes and disconnected the battery multiple times now. The website you provided looks to be very technical, once I pinpoint whatever number group this belongs to, I will follow the diagram to check for continuity.
