Has anyone installed these small amps in their MINI?
They seem like they would be a good solution for our lack of space.....

You mean the new class T amps that are the size of a paperback book?

I'm seriously considering redoing my boot install due to these little dudes. They appear to be able to fit in the cubby holes on each side of the boot (like where the tool kit is). That would really free up some space, as well as get the amps off the top of the battery which is giving me a very, very slight engine whine.

I was thinking about under the driverside dash. There seems to be enough room and you wouldn't have to worry about cooking your legs.

I checked the specs and looks pretty good, and the plastic gurard is changeable to one of another color. On the bad side, this is one pricey little dude...MSRP at blaupunkt.com was $630! I might be out of the loop a bit, but that seems a bit pricey to me.

I currently have one of these amps the PA2100. It is great amp, sounds really good, lots of power, low heat and real tiny. Whats really cool is that the amp itself can be removed from the "showy" case. Its not plastic, the amp is metal, the bottom half of the case is metal as well, just the top portion of the case is clear plastic. It has a built in low or high pass x-over as well. I picked mine up on e-bay new in the box for a LOT less than retail. There are other online suppliers that have them as well (Sound Domain). Definitely worth looking into.
