Camping/Driving Adventure

Recently got the for an end of the summer camping and hiking trip. Took the Mini and got to drive a few hundred miles on windy country roads and drove one of the "worlds most dangerous roads" to Obstruction Point in Olympic National Park. I will try and post a video of a portion of the drive.

In addition to being a daily driver, I wanted car for these kinds of adventures. A comfortable road machine that can handle tossing gravel when needed. It was a great first adventure and the Mini was a blast throughout.

The dust after the drive was everywhere. Spent all day yesterday getting the dust out of the door wells.

First camp spot.

The top of the world at the top of Hurricane Ridge before driving one of the "worlds most dangerous roads" to Obstruction Point.

Camping on the peninsula! Nice! You have a perfect car for it too! Although, admittedly, I am biased. Good to see another happy R60 up here in the PNW.
Happy motoring! Maybe we’ll meet up someday and take a drive with a few others!

Ah, the roads less traveled. My quest always. One for your bucket list is the Million Dollar Highway, I know its a bit far from your location but the between stuff is awesome in its own right. It is Rt 550. The stretch from Durango to Montrose (or visa versa) is one to never be forgotten. Just hope you don't get behind a SUV weenie or a truck.

I've been on that road, Fly'n Brick! Amazing. It was in a 1980 Plymouth Arrow Pick up truck (re-badged Mitsubishi) so not exactly a sporty driving experience but I wholeheartedly agree with you it should not be missed.

Then you certainly need a re-visit with a proper vee-hikle suitable to the task. Besides, There's a super brewery in Durango.
