2011 Clubman S intermittent fans
2011 Clubman S intermittent fans
My low-speed cooling fan and interior climate fan (for cabin air) are intermittent. All fuses are good and there is a good deal of relay clicking going on down in the cabin fuse box area.
Theories?

Thanks for asking. I ended up having to take it to the Dallas dealership. I do almost all of my own car maintenance/repairs so that was painful for me. They ended up swapping out the entire fuse box. I figured there was a loose connection of something somewhere based on the intermittent relay clicking and apparently it was with the fuse box itself. At least that's the story (and bill) they gave me. I got it back and two days later the blower fan started going intermittently again but the low-speed fan was working like it was supposed to. Since it was just the blower fan not working I started the troubleshooting process by opening the access panel (next to accelerator pedal), reached in to disconnect the blower motor and guess what I found... it wasn't connected. Each end was pressed up against each other just enough to occasionally allow power to the blower. I clipped the two ends together and voila, problem solved.
My guess is had I taken it back to the dealer they would've told me the blower motor needed to be replaced. I hate dealership maintenance.
